We share holy fire
And tiger bright nights.
We recite poems
In the fields of our homelands.
We make love
In the graveyards of our ancestors.
We drink traditional liquor
In the parks of our neighbourhoods.
We hitchhike
In the dangerous cars of our country.
We sleep
In the strange beds of our women.
We share holy fire
In the tiger bright nights of our wild
Africa.
